About

The Plymouth-Canton Community Literacy Council is a volunteer non-profit community organization. The Council provides free one-on-one tutoring or small conversation groups to adults, 18 and older, primarily in the Plymouth-Canton area. Our services are free and the tutors are volunteers who are trained to tutor adults in English reading, writing and communication skills. Students and tutors meet in a public location, for approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours a week. One-on-One Tutoring for adults 16 and older who need help with basic reading, writing or English as a Second Language (ESL). Conversation Groups for adults learning to speak English as a second language. ESL Book Club for English language learners looking to improve reading and conversation skills by discussing popular fiction. Comprehensive Tutor Training for our volunteers.
