St. Mary Child Care Center

Childcare Daycare

St. Mary Child Care Center has been dedicated to providing children with a healthy, happy, and engaging experience rooted in Catholic values for over 25 years.  The Center offers Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Kindergarten Readiness Programs for children 2 weeks to 6 years of age.

Our staff is educationally prepared and experienced in the field of child development. Our goal is to nurture and teach your child to reach their fullest potential by enhancing their physical, intellectual, emotional, cognitive, and social skills.

The curriculum plan of the Center encourages children to remain actively involved in the learning process, to experience a variety of activities appropriate to each age and rate of development, and to pursue individual interests in the context of life in the community and the world.  Through these experiences, children learn language, concepts about the physical world, social skills, emergent literacy, problem-solving, motor coordination, and self-confidence.

The Center provides a developmentally appropriate environment for your child:

  • to supplement, but not substitute for the home environment;
  • to facilitate optimal growth and development for your child;
  • to provide you with a sense of security that your child is safe, well-cared for, and properly stimulated.

All efforts will be made to ease any fears you have while your child is away from you. Time spent at St. Mary Child Care Center is a peaceful time, a growing time, and a joyful time.

Teachers hold degrees in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related. Teachers and aides have extensive experience working with young children. Nurturing and caring personalities are important requirements for all working in the Center. Staff members are certified in CPR, First Aid, and Infection Control. Child-to-adult ratios is maintained at or below state requirements.

Licensed and monitored by the State of Michigan Department of Human Services.

The Child Care Center will provide children with two nutritious snacks and a hot lunch during the day.  The food program fulfills USDA-recommended nutritional requirements for childcare programs.

They should have understanding for the children, watching over them with care…– Blessed Mary Angela

The Felician Sisters Child Care Centers, Inc., continues the ministry of Blessed Mary Angela, foundress of the Felician Franciscan Sisters, by supporting families in the fundamental task of educating and caring for their children on all levels of development.

Through our Catholic identity and Felician Core Values, we will be a stabilizing influence for families, providing the foundation by which all children reach their fullest potential.
